COMMANDMENTS IN THE "OLD" TESTAMENT ARE LEGALISTIC!

 .

Whenever someone who keeps the Commandments in the "Law" or the "Old Testament," they are told that they are being legalistic. But is that true? Let's see what the Scriptures have to say in Psalm 119 about the Torah or Law. Remember Psalm 119 was written by King David.

Psalm 119:9

How shall a man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your Word.

Psalm 119:11

your Word I have hid in my heart that I night not sin against You.

Psalm 119:30

I have chose the way of Truth...

Psalm 119:43

Take not the Word of truth out of my mouth...

Psalm 119:45

And I will walk at liberty; for I seek Your precepts.

Psalm 119:89

Forever Your Word is settled in heaven.

Psalm 119:98

You through Your Commandments has made me wiser than my enemies; for they are ever with me.

Psalm 119:103

How sweet are Your Words unto my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

Psalm 119:105

Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

Psalm 119:142b

... Your Torah is the Truth.

Psalm 119:151

... all Your Commandments are Truth.

Psalm 119:160

Your Word is True from the beginning.

Psalm 119:161-163

...my heart stands in awe of Your Word. I rejoice at Your Word... Your Torah do I love.

Read all of Psalm 119 to see what else King David had to say about the Torah and how much he loved it.

How can someone possibly say that keeping our Creator's Commandments are legalistic and brings you into bondage? From just Psalm 119, we can see that King David did not think that of the Torah. He said he would walk at liberty by keeping it. That doesn't sound like bondage to me.

How can it be liberty for King David, but bondage for us? If YHVH does not change as He stated in Malachi 3:6, then that means that His Torah does not change for us either, other than that it is written on our hearts instead of tablets of stone.

If the Torah is the Truth, a light to our path, and a lamp to our feet, that David would walk in liberty, why would we not want to keep it? It seems to me ole slew foot has been at it again, whispering his lies in people's ears!

Remember, the New Testament had not been written yet, so the Commandments that our Savior and John said we were to keep is the Commandments in the Old Testament.... sic.... there's really just ONE Testament or ONE Covenant that Yah made with His people.

Please do not shoot the messenger. I just posted with Scripture picture.

Rip out the page separating the Old Testament from the New Testament. They are really ONE Covenant from Genesi 1:1 - Revelation 22:21. Surprise!

"Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the Only Eloah,

be honor and glory forever and ever. Amein!"
