MEANT TO BE RICH

Here is another Lie that we have all been told. That since we came to "Jesus," we are meant to be rich. Let's see if that is true.

Proverbs 10:22

The blessing of YHVH makes rich and He adds no sorrow with it.

Proverbs 13:7

There is one that makes himself rich, yet has nothing

Proverbs 23:4

Labor not to be rich...

From these verses we can see that we want to make sure that it is YHVH Who makes us rich and not we, ourselves.

Matthew 19:23-24

Then Yshua said to His disciples, "Truly I say to you; that it is very hard for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of heaven." And again I say to you, "It is easier for a large rope to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of heaven."

Luke 6:24

But woe unto you that are rich! For you have received your consolation.

Luke 16:22-23

And it came to pass that the beggar died and was carried by the heavenly angels into Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried; and in Sheol he lifts up his eyes, being I torment, and saw Abraham far off and El-Azar in his bosom. And he cried and said, "Abba Abraham, have mercy on me and send El-Azar that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame."

Luke 18:23

And when Yshua saw that He was very sorrowful. He said, "How hard shall they that have riches enter into the Kingdom of YHVH."

2 Corinthians 6:10

As sad, yet always in hope. In poverty, yet making many rich. As having nothing and yet possessing all things.

When we are content in YHVH Yshua, we will be rich spiritually.

2 Corinthians 8:9

For you know the unmerited favor of our Master Yshua the Messiah, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, that through His poverty you might be made spiritually rich.

We are made rich in the spiritual sense through Yshua becoming poor.

1 Timothy 6:9-11a

But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a trap, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which plunge men into destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil, which some have longed after, and have fallen from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But you, O man of YHVH flee these things.

That is what happens when we do not trust YHVH to bless us financially.

1 Timothy 6:17-19

Charge them that are rich in the world, that they be not proud, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living Eloah, who gives us richly all things to enjoy; that they may do good, that they are rich in good deeds, ready to give righteousness, willing to share their wealth. Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation for the age to come, that they may grab hold of eternal life.

When YHVH has made us rich, we are to give to others in need from our wealth. I am not rich, just enough to be blessed. But I help others out when I can who are in financial need.

James 1:11

But the rich, in that he is made low; because as the flower of the grass, he shall pass away. For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, so that it withers the grass and the flower falls, and the pretty appearance of it perishes, so also shall the rich man fade away in the course of his life.

Just as the grass and flower falls and perishes, so will the rich man perish.

James 2:5

Listen carefully, my beloved Yisraelite brothers, Has not YHVH chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He has promised to them that love Him?

I would much rather be rich in faith than to be rich financially.

Revelation 6:15

... the rich men and the chief captains and the mighty men and every slave and every free man hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; and said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him that sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb"

At the end of this age, we find that riches will not help the rich men on the day of YHVH's wrath. You cannot take it with you.

Let's see what verses we can find on being poor.

Psalm 34:6

This poor man cried and YHVH heard him and saved him out of all his troubles.

YHVH hears the poor man and saves them when they truly cry out to Him in true repentance.

Psalm 41:1

Blessed is he that considers the poor. YHVH will deliver him in time of trouble.

Psalm 69:33a

For YHVH hears the poor.

Psalm 107:41a

Yet He raises the poor up from affliction...

Matthew 5:3

Blessed are the poor in spirit; for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 11:5

... and the poor have the Good News proclaimed to them and are acquitted.

Luke 6:20

And He lifted up His eyes on His disciples and said, "Blessed are you poor; for yours is the Kingdom of YHVH."

Romans 15:26

For it please them of Macedonia and Achaia to give a offering for the poor Yisraelite saints who are at Yahrushalayim.

It is better to be poor in spirit because the Kingdom of heaven [YHVH] belongs to you.

The Scriptures admonish us that the poor are blessed, especially when they cry out to YHVH. They admonish us not to strive to be rich. Why?

Because when you are rich, it is hard to be generous toward the poor when they need your help. It is harder to give away your riches. There is a Proverb that he who seeks to be rich, has an evil eye.

Does this mean that we are not to be rich? No, as there were many who were rich who followed Yshua.

But what He gives to us, He wants us to use our money wisely.

It is not wrong to be rich, but is that our sole purpose on earth? As we know, people who win the lottery or Publisher's Clearing House, are paupers within a few years, because they did not know how to handle the money.

If Abba blesses you financially, be sure you help those out in need. Notice I said, in need. There are some who can't help it. Unexpected bills come up and when you are living paycheck to paycheck just to pay the bills, it is difficult to help others in need and Abba understands that. He knows what your heart condition is.

The TV ministers preach that God wants to bless us. And He does. But that should not be the main focus of our lives. We should live to see how we can bless others. Then in return as we give out of our heart, He will bless us in return. It may not be financially, but He will bless us in other ways.

I hope you do not fall the trap that we are destined to be rich financially. Seek first the Kingdom of YHVH and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33

"Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the Only Eloah,

be honor and glory forever and ever. Amein!"

1 Timothy 1:17
