SALVATION SCRIPTURES

July, 2012

We have been taught that people were not saved until Yshua died on the tree. Let's see if that is true!

Exodus 15:2

YaHoVaH is my strength and song and He is become my salvation.

1 Samuel 2:1

And Hannah prayed and said, ".. because I rejoice in Your salvation".

2 Samuel 22:3...

The Elohim of my rock; in Him will I trust. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my high tower and my refuge, my Savior...

Psalm 25:5

... You are the Elohim of my Salvation...

Psalm 27:1

YaHoVaH is my light and my Salvation...

Psalm 51:12

Restore to me the joy of Your Salvation...

Psalm 62:1-2

Truly my soul waits upon Elohim. From Him comes my Salvation... He only is my Rock and my Salvation...

Psalm 91:16

With long life will I satisfy him and show him My Salvation.

Psalm 140:7

O Sovereign YaHoVaH, the strength of my Salvation...

Isaiah 12:2

Behold, El is my Salvation... He also is become my Salvation.

I would say there are enough verses to show that people were saved in the OLD Testament when they believed in YHVH. The people in the Old Testament looked forward to a Redeemer Messiah. They went to the Bosom of Abraham until Yshua died on the tree. Then He took them to be with Him in heaven.

Now all believers who die, go to be with Yshua as Shaul said, "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Master. 2 Corinthians 5:8

Now I will look at one verse in the New Testament. I promise only one.

2 Timothy 3:15

And that from a child you have known the holy Scriptures which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith which is in the Messiah Yshua.

Yes, that is a New Testament verse. But remember, the New Testament was just being written and had not been canonized yet. So what Scriptures was Paul referring to that would make Timothy wise unto Salvation?

The Old Testament Scriptures.

Need I say more?

"Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the Only Eloah,

be honor and glory forever and ever. Amein!"

1 Timothy 1:17
