I NO LONGER NEED TO CONFESS MY SINS, BECAUSE JESUS FORGAVE MY PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE SINS

July 2,012

I have heard people say that since we live in the age of Grace and Jesus died for our past, present and future sins when He died on the cross, that we no longer have to confess our sins. Is that true?

1 John 1:9-10, which is a NEW Testament verse, states: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful  and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness... If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us."

It makes it pretty clear to me that the Apostle John is saying that we are to confess our sins if we want to be cleansed from all unrighteousness.

When we say that we do not sin anymore because we are forgiven, then we are calling YHVH a liar and His Word is not in us.

I did not say that! The Apostle John said it...

I know that when I went through a difficult time for about 5 years, I did not confess my sins. I felt burdened and weighed down. It was not until I started confessing my sins again, that I started feeling cleansed and whole.

Hebrews 10:22, also a New Testament verse, states: "Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water."

Why would we not want to confess our sins so that we will experience the cleansing of our soul being washed by His Word and Blood?

I hope that you will start confessing your sins.

THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF KNOWLEDGE, BUT FOOLS DESPISE WISDOM AND INSTRUCTION{ PROVERBS 1:7 } THERE ARE NOT TOO MANY CHRISTIANS WHO ACTUALLY FEAR... GOD, FOR IF THEY DID THEY WOULD HONOR HIM BY LIVING A LIFE THAT IS PLEASING TO HIM, RATHER THEN LIVE A LIFE IN HABITUAL SIN, FOR HE SAYS: DO NOT BE WISE IN YOUR OWN EYES; FEAR THE LORD AND DEPART FROM evil{ PROVERBS 3:7 } STILL MANY THINK IT'S OK TO CONTINUE IN THEIR SINS, SOAKING UP THE GRACE OF GOD, BELIEVING AS SOME HAVE BEEN TOLD, JESUS DIED FOR OUR PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE SINS. WHILE HE DID DIE FOR ALL OF OUR SINS, CONFESSION AND REPENTANCE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL THE SINS WE COMMIT AFTER RECEIVING CHRIST AS OUR LORD AND SAVIOR. DUE TO IGNORANCE, AND LACK OF KNOWLEDGE, MANY BELIEVE THERE IS NO LONGER A NEED TO REPENT AFTER THEY WERE SUPPOSEDLY BORN-AGAIN. WHAT SHALL WE SAY THEN? SHALL WE CONTINUE IN SIN THAT GRACE MAY ABOUND? CERTAINLY NOT. HOW SHALL WE WHO DIED TO SIN LIVE ANY LONGER IN IT? { ROMANS 6:1-2 } THERE IS NO ONE ON EARTH LIVING A PERFECT LIFE, BUT WE STRIVE TO DO BETTER AS WE WALK WITH JESUS, HAVING A TEACHABLE SPIRIT, FOR WE ALL KNOW THAT WE ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD{ ROMANS 3:23 } GOD'S GRACE DOES NOT GIVE A LICENSE TO SIN! WHEN WE PROFESS CHRIST, YET LIVE IN HABITUAL SIN, WE ARE TRAMPLING THE SON OF GOD UNDERFOOT AND INSULTING THE SPIRIT OF GRACE{ HEBREWS 10:29 }THE WORD OF GOD SAYS: WE MUST WORK OUT OUR OWN SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING{ PHILIPPIANS 2:12 } THOSE WHO HAVE NO FEAR OF GOD, AND CONTINUE TO LIVE IN SIN, YOU MUST TAKE HEED, FOR IT IS A FEARFUL THING TO FALL INTO THE HANDS OF THE LIVING GOD{ HEBREWS 10:31 } TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!!

"Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the Only Eloah,

be honor and glory forever and ever. Amein!"
