I have heard people say that no one can know the Truth, and most of us are familiar with Pilate asking Yshua "What is the Truth?" in John 18:38. I have also heard that we cannot know the Truth because there are so many different interpretations. Is that true? Can we know it? I hope to share Scriptures that show that not only can we know the Truth, but what the Truth is. Remember, I will be just the messenger quoting Scriptures.
Joshua 24:14
Now therefore fear YHVH and serve Him in sincerity and in Truth...
Psalm 25:5
Lead me in Your Truth..
How can He lead us if we can't know the Truth?
Psalm 40:11
...Your Truth continually preserve me.
How will He preserve us if we can't know the Truth?
Psalm 51:6
Behold, You desire Truth in the inward parts...
How can YHVH desire Truth in our inward parts, if we can't know the Truth?
Psalm 86:11
... I will walk in Your Truth....
How can we walk in the Truth, if we can't know the Truth?
Psalm 100:5
... His Truth endures to ALL generations.
How many generations? ALL generations.
Psalm 117:2c
... the Truth of YHVH endures forever.
How long? Forever.
Psalm 119:30, 142, 151
I have chosen the Way of Truth... Your Torah [Law] is Truth... and ALL Your Commandments are Truth.
We cannot choose the Way of Truth if we do not know what it is. The Truth which are the Torah and the Commandments in the OLD Testament did NOT STOP AT THE CROSS. FOREVER IS FOREVER! I do not care what anyone says. All 66 books is the Truth to ALL generations which is forever!
You say well that is all in the OLD Testament.... Let's see what the New Testament says what the Truth is.... John 14:6 tells us what the Truth is.
John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim.
If the Word is Elohim, then how can we do away with the Word or the Truth as the following verses state Elohim or Yshua is the Word? He is the Living Word.
John 14:6
And Yshua said to him, "I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life..."
How can we know the Truth?
John 16:13
Of a Truth, when He, the Spirit of Truth is come, He will guide you into all Truth...
Who will guide us into all Truth? The Spirit of Truth will.
2 Corinthians 6:7
By the Word of Truth...
The only way we will know the Truth is to study it. Not just read it.
Galatians 2:5
... that the Truth of the Good News might continue with you.
What is the Good News?
1 Corinthians 15:3-4
For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received, how that Messiah died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried and that He rose the third day according to the Scriptures.
What Good News to know that He died for my sins!
1 Thessalonians 2:13
... you received it not as the word of men, but as it is in Truth, the Word of Elohim, which effectually works also in you who believe.
If we do not receive it as the Word of Truth then we will not have it work effectually in us.
2 Timothy 2:15
Study to show yourself approved to Elohim, a workman who needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth...
When we study His Word, we will be approved by Elohim and will not be ashamed when we rightly divide the Word of Truth. That will be another subject on what rightly dividing the Word of Truth means.
1 Peter 1:22
Seeing you have purified your souls in obeying the Truth through the Spirit...
What will happen when we obey the Truth? Our souls will be purified.
2 Peter 1:12
.. be established in the present Truth...
We will also be established in the Truth when we obey it.
1 John 2:21, 5:13
I have not written unto you because you know not the Truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the Truth... that you may know that you have eternal Life and that you may believe on the Name of the Son of YHVH.
According to the above verses, we can know the Truth.
What happens to those people who refuse to believe the Word of Truth or do not care enough to find out what the Truth is?
2 Thessalonians 2:9-12
Even him whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them who perish; because they received not the love of the Truth that they might be saved... And for this cause Elohim shall send them strong delusion that they should believe a lie; that they all might be judged who believed not the Truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Who sends the delusion? Elohim does because people do not love the Truth. It is not just a delusion but a strong delusion. Will you be able to withstand the strong delusion? You will if you love the Truth.
2 Timothy 3:7
Ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the Truth. They will always be learning, but will not come to the knowledge of the Truth because without the Ruach teaching them, they cannot know the Truth.
2 Timothy 4:4
And they shall turn away their ears from the Truth and shall be turned to fables...
When people turn their ears from the Truth, they shall be turned to fables.
Titus 1:14
Not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men that turn from the Truth...
What did Yshua say about the Commandments of men?
Mark 7:9, 13
And He said to them, "Full well you reject the Commandment of Elohim that you may keep your own tradition... Making the Word of Elohim of no effect through your tradition...
hmmm. Keeping the commandments or traditions of men causes us to reject the Word of Elohim.
1 John 1:6
If we say that we have fellowship with Him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not the Truth.
How do we fellowship with Him so that we will not walk in darkness? In Elohim's Truth. Anything that is not of Elohim is a lie.
1 John 4:6
... he that is not of Elohim hears not us. Whereby know we the Spirit of Truth and the spirit of error.
By studying and obeying the Truth, we will know the spirit of error.
1 John 5:6
And it is the Spirit that bears witness because the Spirit is Truth.
The Spirit will bear witness with our spirit because He is the Truth.
I hope that this article has made you realize that you want to find out more of what the Truth is. That is my prayer for you so that you will not be deceived by the strong delusion that is coming on the world.
How can you know what is the Truth or the spirit of error, if you do not study to find out what they are?
There are many more verses on Truth. If you want to do a study on it, a Strong concordance will show you were a word is in the bible so that you can look up all the verses on Truth, or whatever you are looking for.
And then there is the Truth that no one wants to hear. And that is that there is only one way of salvation and no one comes to the Father except through His Son Yshua, the Messiah and Redeemer of the world!
"Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the Only Eloah,
be honor and glory forever and ever. Amein!"
