We have all been taught that you must say a Sinner's Prayer in a certain manner or you cannot be saved. Is that true? Let's look at a few Scriptures to see if that is true.

 

John 5:24

Truly, truly, I say to you, He who hears My Word and believes on Him Who sent Me has Everlasting Life, and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death to life.

 

What did Yshua say we had to do to have Eternal Life? Hear His Word and believe on Him Who sent Yshua.

 

Acts 8:37

... I believe that Yshua Messiah is the Son of Elohim.

Nothing about a Sinner's Prayer. Just confessing that you believe Yshua is the Son of Elohim.

 

Acts 16:31

And they said, Believe on the Sovereign Yshua Messiah, and you shall be saved, and your house.

Again, nothing about a Sinner's Prayer.

 

So what is required to be saved and have Eternal Life?

 

Just believe and trust in the One Who sent Yshua that He is the Messiah and Son of Elohim. Then make sure that you have turned from and forsaken the sins in your life and turned to YHVH's ways and Commandments in ALL 66 books of the Scriptures.... Genesis to Revelation.

 

These do not save you, but shows that you are saved and have forsaken your sins.
